Roads to New Relationships

“How has Trekkers not changed my life?  Trekkers is the source of almost all my favorite memories.  It has taught me to accept myself and the fact that I should not change the way I am for the benefit of others.  I’ve learned so much about myself and made so many important decisions.  I really can’t believe it…I’ve been so lucky.” ~ 12th grade Trekker

ROCKY MOUNTAIN EXPEDITION 2010

Trekkers will be offering a 10-day expedition to the Colorado Rocky Mountains July 29th through August 12th. Students will explore Great Sand Dunes National Monument, see the cliff dwellings at Mesa Verde National Park, hike at Independence Pass and so much more.

Program

Trekkers offers 9-day expedition to 10th graders during early August. The focus of the expedition is to visit, explore and study the environmental uniqueness of a particular bio-region within the United States. Examples from the past include: the Grand Canyon, Mesa Verde National Park (Cliff Dwellings), Florida Everglades, Northwest rainforests, Mount St. Helens, Redwood National Forrest and many more. Along with the life changing opportunities students receive from this expedition, they are also required to take part in a pre-trip life skills/leadership course. The course is designed to help students gain knowledge and confidence in presenting themselves professionally to others.
