Roads to New Relationships

"The Trekkers life. Each day on Trekkers is not just a vacation; it’s an opportunity to test your independence, patience, strength, and endurance. It's a time to be happy, a time to forget your stress from school, friends, jobs, life. Trekkers is a group that will never be matched, and for us, there is still more time!"

Apprentice Treks 2010

Apprentice Treks will be a joint collaboration between Trekkers and one of the oldest traditional boat building schools in the country, the Apprenticeshop in Rockland (formerly known as Atlantic Challenge), to offer young people the opportunity to learn how to build their own small tender from local craftsmen while investigating the unique character of this region’s maritime culture. Students will meet on various Tuesdays and Saturdays throughout the Spring to learn traditional boat building skills as well as participate in field expeditions; meeting directly with expert boat builders and historians in Midcoast Maine. The program will conclude with a celebratory launching of student and mentor-built tenders in early June!
